I Know It's Been A While.

But I've been super busy! What with my Mom and Grandma visiting and having to move out of here in a week, you can imagine how chaotic things have been! But life is good, work is good, relationships are really good and how great is all that?! Of course, anytime there is goodness, there are also little complications and hangups, but what are you going to do? It can't be helped.

Like, for instance, Jeanette, one of the girls I was supposed to move in with in the next week has decided to back out. She's got a lot going on and it only seemed best for her not to be moving in with anyone right now. But! Christy-Anne and I have not despaired, for we have found another girl to move in with! And she's so awesome and great. Her name is Shauna-Jo and she loves old school Nintendo and WWE and she's always wearing something pink--I totally dig her. And she has agreed to move in with us!

Today, Christy-Anne, Shauna-Jo, and I are heading to Lowes to pick out paint colors because the house seriously needs a new paint job. That's going to be a whole lot of fun I think and I'm totally stoked about it. To see the "before" and "after" will be mind-blowing. I'll be videotaping it all for certain.

But in case you were interested, Mom and Grandma had a great time visiting! They got to know the area and we had a lot of fun going out to dinner, shopping, and getting to know my "Tennessee Family" while they were here. Mom bought me a ton of stuff, including a new phone and a new phone plan and if you are actually one of those people that likes to call me every pink moon, be sure to email me (carly@carlybish.com) and ask me for it.

Right now, everything feels like a jumbled mess because I have to move out and Jeremy is moving in and there's so much to do and I feel like exploding but I won't and and and!!!

So yeah. That's what's going on. Hope you're all well.

Whaaaaaaaat's Happening.

Exciting news. Mom and Grandma are flying in tomorrow evening! They'll land in Atlanta and drive a rental car two hours north to where I am. I'm so excited to see them. It's been at least two if not three whole years since I've seen my grandma and since New Year's since I've seen my mom. Totally pumped to spend some quality time with them. They are such fun people to be around. They both possess a lot of spunk.

Right now, I'm getting ready for their arrival, cleaning up the apartment and taking care of all necessities. It's probably for the best since I'll be moving out of this place and into my new house almost immediately after they leave! It's going to be so nice moving away from here, getting rid of a lot of this stuff I have. I'll sell my couch and probably give away my futon and Christy-Anne and I will invest in some newer furniture. I can already hear Ikea calling... So great! I'll be sure to take pictures of the house once we're all settled in. Not to mention of the new paint job we're planning on! It's going to be such a beautiful place to live.

What else have I been up to... Oh! George and I saw the movie Cars and laughed hard throughout. Pixar can do no wrong!

You know, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. About life and God and how everything has panned out. I've reached the point now where I have such a good life out here with amazing friends and support. I have my own quasi-family here and I know that if I were to leave this place, I'd miss the people here in the same way I miss everyone in Seattle at the present.

So yeah. That's mostly what I've been up to lately. I've also been spending time with Jeremy, writing music. We're getting better and better as we go along. It's really exciting. My friend Tony asked if we're thinking about recording and honestly? I totally see that happening and actually doing something pretty big. Not necessarily touring or becoming the next greatest thing, but perhaps significant enough that we receive a mention at Pitchfork or something. Which would be all the attention I think I could handle or want. Either way, the more we play, the more we come up with and it's really cool!

Oh yes! I also edited my first video to post here, but I need to get it off Christy-Anne's iBook somehow. I tried burning it to disc, but it didn't work. Most likely, I'll need to email it to myslf. Eventually, I'll come up with an easier posting method. But don't lose hope! Video blogging will be had. This I swear.

Until then, adieu. I love you all. And God does too.

Tonight, I was driving home from George's when I spotted a man walking down the main street... with no pants on. That's right, he had no pants. No pants and no underpants either. That's right. Bare bum and all. The amazing thing was that he had several layers on his upper half. But pants? I guess he just forgot those today. But at least he didn't forget his jacket or baseball hat! Phew! That would have been disasstrous! (Oh! I did not just say that!)

Thanks for the Intro, Aims!

I got home last night from South Georgia, where I was visiting George and his family and spending quality time with the sun and the sky and summertime.

It is quite possible that I had more fun in the last week than I've had in the last two years of living. So blessed.

I went swimming, watched movies, ate food, got sunburnt, learned to rollerblade downhill, sang in a mass youth choir, socialized, and was carried--yes, carried!--to bed a few nights in a row due to my exhaustion from having so much fun! And that is not everything that I did. The night before I left, I participated in a highly intense and indoor water-gun battle! It was gruesome, but the fight had to be won. And we conquered.

Basically, the last week can't be topped. At least, for now it can't. But I guess we'll have to wait until next month, because that's when Christy-Anne, George, Jeanette and I head to Virginia Beach where we'll learn to surf, tan ourselves and dress in our loveliest lovelies and go dancing!

Mom and Grandma are coming next week to visit! That's going to be an incredibly fun week too!

Wow.

This summer is starting out so great. And I know it's because of God. I don't deserve it but He's blessing me anyway. It's beautiful, really.

Oh, Living!

Life for God is good!

I'm getting ready to go out of town in a couple days. The coming week will see infrequent, if any, posting at all. Which is good for me. Plus, there will be lots of videotaping opportunities to be had. I'm pretty excited about it.

I also might be getting a new phone with a new phone number (because Sprint SUCKS!), so those of you who actually have my current number and call me every now and then? Be sure to get that from me when the day comes and you call me only to be answered by some strange robot-lady who will say, "We're sorry. This number is no longer in use and has been disconnected. Please try again at a later date."

Jeremy and I are still writing some amazing music. I can't wait to share that with you guys. Amy, you are going to love this new stuff! Better than all the stuff I've ever written before! The songwriter in me is BACK and stronger than ever!

I'm living passionately again. Christy-Anne has been saying how nice it is to have friends who only love her more the more off-the-wall she reveals herself to be. I am off-the-wall myself and our kind need to support, love and encourage each other. I feel the same way she does. Christy-Anne and George are my biggest supporters. The more I share myself, the more they seem to enjoy me. It's so liberating. And refreshing. They love me the same way God does. And I praise God for that.

Well, Poo!

My Nikon is broken. Totally lame. And I still haven't been able to edit any video footage. There are a couple things I need to buy in order to do such a thing. This is also totally lame, because I've been having indescribable fun in the last several weeks and I've documented much of it and would love to share it with you all!

Either way, carlybish.com is getting updated way more. I hope you're enjoying that. I know I've enjoyed posting! What with the new layout and everything! I know there are still a couple bugs. Usually fixed by refreshing the page, just a little fyi. Richard and I will work out the kinks. I need feedback though. What do you like? What do you not like? What do you want to read more about? Seriously, I write mostly for myself but I write for you too. So let's have it. Just let me know.
